If you’re into Airbus, there is the ToLiSs A319, and A321. There are a few bugs, but for people who love Boeing jetliners it’s great.Īlso for Boeing enthusiasts, there is the 767 Professional Extended package - there are others - which lots of long haul simmers love. Third, if you like flying airliners, the free Zibo mod of the Laminar 737 is really good. Second, for me - with my limited IRL dual instruction time - airplanes, especially GA stuff, just feels better in XP12. Why? First of all, in XP12, mapping your controls is far easier. Whereas, XP12 needs help in this area with free, and/or paid scenery addons.įor navigation with instruments and especially when flying airport to airport, either sim is good, but I prefer XP12. However, I am NOT implying that MSFS is only for “gamers”.įor people who are looking at XP12 or MSFS as a “flight simulator”, then you can look at a few important differences.įor people who want to primarily fly general aviation (GA) during daylight conditions, especially navigating by landmarks, MSFS is far better, initially, because of the inbuilt accuracy of streets / landmarks. Why? Because it’s far prettier without mods, and there are lots of free, or paid challenges which are a lot of fun. If you’re looking at this only as a ‘game experience’, then MSFS.
